Wild Yam Root, Dioscorea villosa is a member of the Dioscoreaceae family. Wild Yam is also known as four leaf yam, devils bones, rheumatism root and colic root. It was used by the Aztecs and Mayans as well as the indigenous people of North America.
Wild Yam Root is native to Eastern North America. It is a ground level plant with green, brown or white flowers.

Suggested use: Add 1 teaspoon per mug of freshly boiled and slightly cooled water, allow to steep for 5 to 10 minutes and strain to remove herbs.
