Chuan Xin Lian, Andrographis paniculata, is a member of the Acanthaceae family. It has an incredibly bitter taste, giving it the name ‘King of Bitters’. It is highly valued in the traditional ayurvedic, Siddh, and Unani medicines of India and in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Its use as a medicinal herb dates back to 3,000 – 4,000 BCE. In 1919, the Indian flu epidemic that followed after the 1918 Spanish Influenza outbreak was thought to be treated using Andrographis and it is still used by more than 70 percent of people in India who practice Ayurveda.
Andrographis is native across India and Sri Lanka. It grows up to 60 cm tall with delicate pink and purple flowers.

Bitter diterpenoid lactones including andrographolides, determine dimers and flavonoids.
This product contains dried aerial parts.
Avoid in pregnancy
Suggested use: Add 1 teaspoon per mug of freshly boiled and slightly cooled water, allow to steep for 5 to 10 minutes and strain to remove herbs.
